Off Topic: Update on the Blue House

Its a 'Dura-Craft VH-600 Victorian'. I can't find much on it so I am guessing its somewhat rare?? Anyone heard of it before? Also... as you can see mine is missing the original tower. I am liking the idea of possibly adding the tower back on. We'll see....

Gonna do some deciding on a direction tonight and then will post a link to the new blog for this new project... the Addamses would like to keep this blog for their own :) Thanks everyone for the super ideas! So many possibilites are swimming around in my head right now! -ara

  1. The very first dollhouse I purchased was a Duracraft and when I opened the box I was overwhelmed by the THOUSANDS of pieces and gave it away, LOL I have never seen this particular model though. What a find!!! Looking forward to your new blog about this new project! (I agree the Addams should have their own blog *wink* cara mia!) :)

  3. Marsha, yes I am so glad its mostly built already ... looks like it would have been a bit scary! Thats probably why it isn't finished!

    Thanks Cate! Glad you're back!

MiniKat, well I am renting 2 different movies tonight to watch. I won't say which ones yet but I am hoping to get inspiration from one of them. I have a direction I am leaning but I will wait 'til tonight or tomorrow to reveal the final answer!

    hugs -ara

  5. THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU!!!! Sure enough, my new dollhouse is the Victorian one from Petite Dreams! Found out it's only worth about $50.00 but I only got it for $15, so I still got a great deal. Thanks so much Ara for finding my dollhouse's identity! I would send you an award, but I don't know how :(

  6. I think they made that dollhouse in the 80's. I am slowly working on a haunted house, it is a very small dollhouse. Problem is, I took it up to my attic for storage until I had time to work on it, but now I can't find it.
